Oh yeah and I’m still fat

Published by realityrain at 6:39 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

So we had dairy free Shepards Pie for dinner last night which means I had it for breakfast. And for lunch.  And some for a snack.  It was so good.  I am working on quitting soda again which sounds noble except part of the reason is just because I am choking at night on reflux and my days are spent with heartburn.  I know this is because of my horrible diet.  You would think that someone who cannot have dairy, as in no chocolate, no ice cream, most desserts off limits, would be able to eat healthier but there is still soda, potato chips and fried foods in the world.

I’m looking for my rock bottom because there are many things I would like to do and even more clothes I would like to buy.  I turn thirty in just a few days and while I do not seem to have the “getting old” feelings others do when hitting the big 3-0 but I do have a strong desire to make my thirties even better than my twenties and to do that I need to be in shape.

Things are beginning to settle back down in my life so I am going to slowly begin working on myself just as I have been working on my jobs and my home.  Wish me luck, wish me thirty pounds lighter, and wish me the motivation to get there!

Good luck! I cut out (most) sodas a few years ago. I only drink water. I will have a soda as a treat. I also stopped eating at fast food restaurants. I can’t imagine not eating dairy. Wow. My best advice is to take it one day at a time. If you mess up, start over the next day. I also highly recommend exercise. Just go for a walk. It feels great to be in the fresh air.

Thanks for wishing me luck! I have quit soda before and I almost always lose ten pounds so I’m hoping it works that way again! I had lost fifteen pounds since Christmas by walking on the treadmill every day but between weddings, funerals and moving I seem to have eaten everything in sight!
