Pasta Sauce
Almost all pasta sauces have dairy in them which is difficult for me because I am very, very picky about my red sauce. I only like a few (as in two) store bought sauces and then when I get them home I add a whole bunch of herbs and stuff to it. Instead of this I’ve decided to just come up with my own. I will go all out and go for a pizza sauce as well.
I’m wondering if I could make a huge batch then seperate it out and freeze into smaller containers? I don’t see why not but I don’t want to compromise taste either. And that is not even getting to the point where I cannot make red sauces. I can make a whole bunch of other stuff but the few times I have tried to make a pizza or lasagna sauce, I wouldn’t even eat it and I’ll eat just about anything. Well, anything without dairy of course.
I am going to try it again with some fresher ingredients. I would like it if I could make the entire thing with all organic ingredients but I will probably try it out with the cheap stuff first before I put that kind of money into it.
Any suggestions on making pizza/pasta sauces? How do you make your sauce?
